News and Happenings May 11, 2015
Hello Families!
I was not in the office on Friday so the News and Happenings did not go out. I want to make sure you get important information for this week and the remainder of the school year.

9-1 - WORK DAY AT TFS - child care is limited, we have 3 spots left for this morning. PLEASE sign up in the office if you need child care.
Mon. - Fri. May 18-22
ERB Testing for RD-PD - This is a very important week for our Red Door - Purple Door students. Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest this week and arrives at school having had a good, balanced breakfast. Remember, school starts, and the testing will begin, at 8:30 am. If your student arrives late, they must come to the office and wait until an appropriate time to enter their classroom.

2:00 - TFS 40th Anniversary Party at TFS - This is our final 40th anniversary celebration for the year. We have had several events this year celebrating families and students from past graduating classes, founding families, and friends through the decades. This is a celebration for our current families and students to wish our school a happy 40th birthday! Join us for cupcakes and birthday fun.
JUNE DATES:
Wednesday, June 3rd - is a FUN DAY here at The Family School. We'll be biking, rainbow running, dance partying and having pizza for lunch! Parents - Be sure to mark this day on your calendar if you want to join us. I'll give more information as we get closer to the day so be sure to keep your eye out here.
GRADUATION - You are all invited to our Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 4th at 5:00 pm. If you haven't seen our 5th grade class give their graduation speeches, I encourage you to join us. It is so wonderful to see these students share their thoughts, memories and dreams! They are always impressive to hear and see how well they speak in public.

SUMMER CAMP - We need to have your sign ups as soon as possible. If we don't have 18 campers by THIS FRIDAY, MAY 15, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE THE CAMP. Brochures are in the office. If you are interested in camp, please stop by and sign up. We need a minimum of 18 campers signed up to have camp. Here are the details:
COST:
5 day week - $400.00 per 2 week session
3 day week - $300.00 per 2 week session
HOURS:
8:30 - 4:30
Early drop off will be offered at 8:00 am for $6.00 a day or $25.00 a week pre-paid
SESSIONS:
Session 1 - June 8 - 19
Session 2 - June 22 - July 3
Session 3 - July 6 - 17
WATER DAYS:
Every Tuesday and Thursday will be water days. Campers will either be going to the Dunn Pool via bus or having water play here at school.
