A Note from Ruth - I want to let you all know, before you hear it through the grapevine, that I won't be returning to The Family School next year. I have enjoyed immensely my time here. I have loved your children and getting to know the families. I have learned so much watching our teachers and Julianne work, teach, care for and mentor our students. This school is a very special place and I feel very strongly about it's importance and value to this valley and it's families. I will be here until June, so I'm not gone just yet. I will help as we find someone to fill this position. I will be here to train and make the transition. I will also still be around! I'm not leaving the valley. I am going to be pursuing my art and Graphic Design work. So we'll still see each other I'm sure! I'm fairly certain I won't be able to fully stay away from campus.
Thank you everyone for your support at this school. You are all so important to the success we have here. I look forward to watching The Family School continue to grow in strength.

Hike Friday, Prepare for RAIN: We will still have our All School Hike this Friday, rain or shine! And it looks like there will be rain. Please be prepared with:
GOOD hiking shoes
Rain jacket/hat (NO umbrellas please)
A CHANGE OF CLOTHES (students will want to be able to put on dry clothes when we return)
Tuition Assistance: Families interested in applying for Tuition Assistance for the 17/18 school year, the deadline is March 1st, 2017. Applications received after this deadline will be considered only if we have funds remaining.
SHOE BOXES FOR BLUE DOOR: If you have any shoeboxes, adult size, please bring them to Blue Door. They need them for a science project!
Disney Raffle: Here's what's happening!
Each family will receive 12 raffle tickets to sell. But if you’d like to sell more (or buy for yourself), we will happily provide you with additional tickets!
Depending on how you sell your tickets (see prices below), you will return between $100 and $120.
Ticket pricing is as follows:

Ticket stubs and money collected should be returned to Kay in the office once you have sold ALL tickets.
All ticket stubs and money should be returned in the provided envelope. Please be sure to mark the number of tickets sold and the amount of money included inside on the label provided.
Tickets stubs and money are due no later than Friday, February 10th.
Stubs should have name, phone # and email address for the buyer(s).
No more than 1,000 tickets will be sold.
Raffle prize: 4 Park Hopper Tickets for entrance to BOTH Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park (ticket expiration: 10/7/18) PLUS a 1-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange County (standard double bed room with occupancy for up to 4 guests)
Drawing date: February 23, 2017 at the All School Meeting. Need not be present to win.
