MY PATH TO EDUCATION
I originally went to college to become a teacher, but later joined the Army and spent time raising my children as a military spouse. As my husband transitions out of the service, I’m excited to pursue my original passion for working in education. SYV Family School felt like the perfect place to begin this next chapter.

WHAT SHAPED ME
As a mom, I understand that children experience and express emotions in different ways. When students come to me with a problem, I make sure they know they are fully supported, whether they are physically hurt or emotionally upset.

WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL
Everyone supports one another here; it truly feels like a family. The school’s name reflects exactly what we experience daily, and students embrace this sense of community as well.

IN MY ROLE
I hope students gain trust in me and know they always have someone they can talk to or sit quietly with if needed. I also hope my colleagues know I am here to support them both professionally and personally.

OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
I enjoy going on walks with my kids and having family movie nights. We also love our Friday tradition of living room sleepovers.
