MY PATH TO TEACHING
I have always loved children, especially the littles. As long as I can remember, I’ve been babysitting or caring for someone. I think it is so beautiful to watch a child grow and develop, and I believe childhood is incredibly important to who we become as adults. It is an honor to be part of so many little ones’ lives and to hopefully make a positive impact through their education.
WHAT SHAPED ME
My love for children and seeing how they grow and develop has shaped my path. I’ve always wanted to create positive experiences for children and help them feel supported as they learn and grow.
WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL
I learned about SYV Family School from my sister, who is a teacher on the Upper Campus. I heard so many positive things about the school that really resonated with me. I really like how this school truly cares for each and every student. The attention to every detail is something I have never seen before.
IN MY CLASSROOM
I hope to bring joy and a sense of comfort and safety to my classroom, creating a space where children feel cared for, supported, and excited to learn.
FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK
Peter the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses - I love this book because it reminds us to always look for the positive.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
I enjoy going for ice cream with my son, having movie nights, going out to eat, and spending time chatting with family and friends.
