MY PATH TO TEACHING
My love of making connections with children inspired me to become an educator. Through literacy instruction with AmeriCorps, I discovered that fostering curiosity and growth in young minds is magical.
WHAT SHAPED ME
My teaching has been shaped by supporting social-emotional programs, working in special education, serving as a literacy instructional aide, and collaborating with colleagues at multiple schools. I’ve learned the importance of kindness, patience, and building relationships.
WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL
Driving to work every day brings a smile to my face. My days are full of nature, hard work, creativity, fun, and deep connections with kind people.
IN MY CLASSROOM
I hope students feel loved, busy, and brave.
FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK
The Velveteen Rabbit – It beautifully illustrates how authenticity and understanding reveal true love.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
I recharge with beach days, nature hikes, crafts, art, and spending time with animals.
