MY PATH TO TEACHING
I studied at Allan Hancock College and SBCC. My love of working with children began at Alisal Guest Ranch, interacting with kids through arts and crafts. Later, working at Solvang Elementary as a Teacher’s Assistant and liaison solidified my passion for education.
WHAT SHAPED ME
Working with caring teachers, supportive parents, and students who are eager to learn has influenced my teaching. I value community and helping families navigate education.
WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL
I love that every child is unique and can learn through play while growing in all areas of life.
IN MY CLASSROOM
I hope students feel safe, use their voice, and discover how wonderful and unique they are.
FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK
Un Elefante – I sang this to my children when they were babies, and it remains meaningful.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
I enjoy spending time with family, catching up with friends, visiting the park, beach, and lake, and exercising to stay healthy.
