MY PATH TO TEACHING
I earned my B.A. from UC Davis, my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University, and my Master’s in Education from Walden University. I have always loved working with children and felt that teaching was a natural path for me.
WHAT SHAPED ME
I am especially inspired by my fourth-grade teacher, who was an incredible educator and human being. She made every child feel seen and heard, and her impact continues to guide my work today.
WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL
I love the beautiful natural environment that surrounds our school. This is a special place where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow into kind, confident individuals in a joyful and nurturing setting.
IN MY CLASSROOM
I believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are. Their wonder, enthusiasm, and curiosity are contagious and inspire me every day.
FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK
Today I Feel Silly and Other Moods That Make My Day by Jamie Lee Curtis - I love how this book normalizes all emotions and serves as a meaningful read-aloud for students.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
I enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling with my family. I also love reading, painting, and practicing yoga in my free time.
