MY PATH TO TEACHING

I studied history (major) and linguistics (minor) at UCSB and recently completed my Master’s in Education at Alder Graduate School. I’ve always wanted to provide students with an enjoyable and empowering educational experience.

WHAT SHAPED ME

I’ve taught in various capacities - swimming lessons, after-school care, teaching assistant, museum docent - all fueling my passion for creating memorable learning experiences.

WHY SYV FAMILY SCHOOL

The serene location, welcoming staff, supportive families, and amazing students make SYVFS a unique and joyful place to work.

IN MY CLASSROOM

I aim to empower students through literacy, helping them connect with curiosity and develop skills for lifelong learning.

FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK

Wayside School by Louis Sachar – I love seeing students’ reactions, laughter, and excitement while reading it.

OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL

I enjoy cooking, hiking, spending time with loved ones, and thrifting.
